Chia Seeds

Raw chia seeds originate from the plant 'Salvia Hispanica' which descends from the mint family. This edible seed has been grown naturally in South America for centuries and the name chia literally translates to 'strength' in the Mayan language.

Tiny chia seeds are packed with natural plant protein, fibre, omega 3's and high in calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, molybdenum, niacin and zinc. Chia seeds also provide a rich source of antioxidants which provide our body cells with vital protection from oxidative damage (this damage is unavoidably triggered by a myriad of factors in our daily lifestyles – and we must try our utmost to eat foods that counteract this ongoing cellular destruction). It's no wonder chia seeds are a staple food for many athletes 💪
